Roma’s streets were ablaze with vibrant colour last weekend as more than 260 people celebrated Easter Sunday at the annual Senex ColourXplosion.
People of all ages ran or walked the 5km gauntlet of paint powder as part of the Easter in the Country Festival.
Held in partnership with PCYC Maranoa, the event raises funds for youth development and crime prevention programs.
Sergeant Greg Caletti, the event organiser and PCYC Maranoa branch manager, said the event was an important support for the town.
“This event is a really important one on our fundraising calendar,” Sgt Caletti said. “Not only does it bring a whole lot of fun to locals and visitors alike, it also helps raise vital funds so we can continue to make a difference in our local community.
“Thanks to our major sponsor Senex, we can keep putting this fun, family event on each Easter and continue building safer, healthier communities through youth development.”
