Senex is an established and growing natural gas producer on the east coast of Australia with current production of more than 50 TJ/day.
After completing a $400 million capital works program, we have two production operations, both in Queensland’s Surat Basin: Atlas, near Wandoan, and Roma North, near Roma.
Senex also has an exploration project near Miles in the Surat Basin, called Artemis, and an exploration project near Eidsvold in the Bowen Basin, called Rockybar.
Our newly expanded Surat Basin operations have the capacity to supply the equivalent of more than 10 per cent of Queensland’s domestic gas demand.
That is before growth from incremental investments that will further leverage our “hub and spoke” infrastructure model. We have announced plans to expand our Surat Basin production 50 per cent to help achieve our growth target of five-fold production to 60 petajoules a year by the end of the 2025 financial year.
Senex’s natural gas footprint now comprises around 2,300 sq km of acreage across the Surat and Bowen basins and includes:
- material production – Roma North and Atlas
- development-ready expansions – Roma North and Atlas
- appraisal and exploration opportunities – Western Surat acreage, Project Artemis and Bowen Basin acreage Rockybar
